Tag: Conduit jurisdictions
Conduit jurisdictions are countries that are attractive as intermediate destinations in the routing of investments. These jurisdictions typically have low or zero taxes imposed on the transfer of capital to other countries, either via interest payments, royalties, dividends or profit repatriation. Typically these jurisdictions have highly developed legal systems that are able to support the needs of multinational corporations. Countries such as the Netherlands, Ireland and Luxembourg have been known for these types of activities.
